ORIGINAL VERSION:
All Pokémon in the S tier possess amazing ability in a certain range. Slow Smoke Greninjas can thwart their opponents with no worries about accuracy, Lucario's moves are all rounded well together, Blastoise has amazing defences, and Aegislash can adapt to all situations.
A tier Pokémon can do their job well, and are a fine choice for intermediate players or if your teammates have already chosen the S tier Pokémon you like.
B tier Pokémon are fine for beginners, and when used correctly they can actually be fine choices, However, using them well requires some training, and some players may not have the time. C tier Pokémon are often weaker in their respective regions, making them not a good choice.

VERSION 2 EDITS:
Hoopa is in S tier, since it possesses amazing capability in both support and attacking. Joy to the rings!

VERSION 3:
Tried a different build and Absol was put into S tier. Duraldon is good at offensive and is in A, while Auzmarill doesn't work with Play Rough as well as Zeraora did with Wild Charger and is now in B. Zeraora's wild charge seems good enough for S.

In general, tier lists can be interpreted as follows:

  • S: Top-tier Pokemon. These are the best Pokemon to play in general.
  • A: Great Pokemon. These are great options of Pokemon to play and can provide good synergy to your team.
  • B: Good Pokemon. While these Pokemon aren't necessarily ideal to play, they can provide certain synergies allowing them to perform well.
  • C: Okay Pokemon. These Pokemon are typically less than ideal to play.
