Build Path
Meteor MashFirst Pick
Damage. Displacement.
Power-Up Punch
Damage. While charging: Defense up. Fully charged: Assassinate. Then: Attack boost (on-hit). (+)Spellproof while charging.
Close Combat
Damage. Displacement.
Aura CannonUNITE
Damage. Power-Up Punch damage up.
Attack Weight
Permanently increases Attack upon scoring a goal.
Weakness Policy
Increases Attack based on damage received.
Drain Crown
Restores HP based on the amount of damage dealt with basic attacks.
Potion
Restore a small amount of HP over time.
Stat Boosts
Attack Damage (Upon Goal)

Guide
Early Game: Get Meteor Mash and start grinding. You do deal somewhat decent damage, so that should be good. Get at least one or two stacks off before getting Power-up Punch. Its hella strong, so it works pretty well.
Mid Game: Now that you have Close Combat and at least a few stacks up, maybe even Aura Cannon, holding your own in a fight is a ton easier. Good support from an ally like Mr. Mime or Clefable tends to help out a good bit.
Late Game: With one of, or even both of the move upgrades and (probably) all six stacks, you become a destructive force of nature, being able to make a fight last longer than it has any right to, especially with Drain Crown and a healer. Honestly... just Power-Up Punch into a fight, Click Close Combat, and the cycle repeats itself.
Summary: It's no surprise how good Lucario has been. It's strong and somewhat bulky, and overall, it just feels really balanced. Which feels weird in a game like Unite. Sure, you may need help from time to time, but honestly, it's really strong.
