Guide

As a mainly Mr Mime player, i wanted to share some tips and my build to crush low elo player and easily get better in ranked game.

Reminder you are an off meta pick people won't see every day. You can easily surprise people by your damage output and your huge controle ability.

First, this guide is all about being really annoying for your opponent. Using walls in order to reduce opponent movement options. Using mainly tank and utilitary item in order to survive and help your team.

Early on, on level 4, get Confusion, once you have Confusion, you can get easy fights by putting a Light Screen behind your opponent and then Confusion. This combo can deal up to 50% if not more of your opponent HP. Really great to get advantage in lane if your team mate follow you for a kill. This combo can also lead to a tower dive.

On level 6, you get Barrier, which is basicly a better wall with multiple charges. However, it can be really hard to play for new players. In that case, Guard Swap is really great and do the same kind of damage than with a Barrier / Confusion combo, as well as a healing you a bit. Remember Guard Swap also work on heavy objectifs like Zapdos which is not affected by Displasment, which give you a bit more dps on Zapdos. But the walls created by Barrier which can really annoy your opponent is a must to me. Being able to completly block your opponent from accessing Zapdos for exemple can be a crucial point of your end game strategy.

Then on level 9 you get your Unite ability, SHOWTIME ! Now it's time to assert dominance on your opponent by doing some chad ultimate on multiple opponent and win team fights. This ultimate is really powerful to apply a lot of Stun in a large zone while winning a good shield, great mobility, and dealing a bit of AOE damage. Try to keep your Guard Swap + Confusion combo for easy targetable carry like Venusaur or Alolan Ninetales which are low mobility target you can easily take down by yourself.

Up to level 12+, your damage can start to fall of a bit. If you've done a great job at scoring, you can reduce your damage fall of pretty well. At that point, you become more of a support than a carry, focus on making good ultimate and protect your late game carries with your combo to get easy shutdown on assassins with a good mobility.

For my items, i'd like to play Mr. Mime with Assault Vest to be a little bulkier. Focus Band is really great to sustain in mid fights or in laning phase, to clutch some close move with the HP it give you. Then, Buddy Barrier can offer a good shield to a needing ally which can make fights with you while you Controle opponent with Show Time. If you dont like one of those items, or multiple ones, you can go for some Sp. Atk items like Wise Glasses in order to add even more burst to your kit.

I hope this helped you well to understand what Mr Mime can do and how i play him to win my games.

Works Well With

Cramorant

Huge base damage to follow your wall / confusion combo and get kill after kill early on.

Lucario

Overall a good pokemon to be with in lane, pretty tanky with shield and have a ton of early damage and cc to have a good early advantage.

Zeraora

The perfect late game assassin which you can 2v5 with in late game with a good coordination. You CC, he kill !
