1. WHY choose bottom + Basic tips
Heavy Metal is a very useful ability, especially when you're in the immobilized form of Flash Cannon. Drednaw's moves include knockback ( the water gun-like move), stun (The move like Stomping Tantrum/Earthquake) and tracking moves (Rock blast or so). Usually the first thing it does after taking damage is just stomp, and you get thrown into the air. If you're smart you can just range it with Flash cannon, but sometimes it's not that possible. (Consider there's a team fight happening, and you want to avoid that and steal Drednaw. That's what's gonna happen when you use this build. Let a bulky defender handle the opponents. You go and steal objectives.) If Drednaw gets too close, heavy metal takes care. During the 30-sec cooldown, you need Dragon Tail to flash out of the range sometimes. It's fine, though, with Weakness Policy it should be easy enough to knock Drednaw out.
For 1v1s, nothing is as much as a threat as Flash Cannon, which immensely deals damage and is almost as strong as Cramorant's Unite Move. In 2v1s and 3v1s, if you opponent is an all-rounder, retreat. Hit-run for speedsters, and for defenders and supporters you're fine. Within attackers draws are common, but just when they try to escape, pursue them and you'll easily do fine due to large range with Flash Cannon. Basically start flash, and use Dragon tail for little extra mobility if they flash out with Eject Button.
