Guide

A fairly simple Jungle Tsareena build, but the payoff for this is immense.

GAMEPLAN:
Start with Rapid Spin so that you can go straight for the Lillipup and then level yourself up to Lv 5 and pick Triple Axel first. Assist your teammates in lane (I usually go Bottom based on my Jungle path) and make sure you get Tsareena. Once you evolve, pick Grassy Glide and return to the jungle to stack some more levels.

Ideally, you should be Lv 9 when you go for Drednaw, and frankly, Drednaw will be a piece of cake. Your solo damage vs Dred is extremely good as you can basically melt Drednaw for very little trouble and even if people are coming towards you, the ability refresh that Queenly Majesty gets you, the Lifesteal from Triple Axel and the Focus Band should keep you very nicely topped up. There have been frequent moments during my game where I have a slight level advantage vs my opponents and I’ve won 1v3s at Drednaw whilst my partner went to pick them off.

Once your ability upgrades kick in, you want to be going full assist on your lanes. A max powered Tsareena can absolutely ruin most mons and the amount of headway you can make is excellent for how little effort it takes.

COMBAT:
I always tend to initiate with Grassy Glide. The shield is nice when you have Queenly Majesty fully activated and the second kick has the potential to stun opponents whilst also kicking them away. This is really useful when contesting goals because you can basically kick someone out of range of the healing. After this, you can either go into Triple Axel or start with the basic attacks so that you get your Queenly Majesty up.

When Queenly Majesty is up, I would generally advise going for Triple Axel because of the innate lifesteal. Tsareena’s not that frail, but being able to keep yourself healthy mid combat is extremely useful. The shield from Grassy Glide is also very nice though and it can be useful for added protection when initiating or just being in combat.

Tsareena’s Ult is great just for tacking on raw damage vs opponents and for taking certain Pokemon out of the equation during teamfights (for instance a support/defender, or a healthy mon that can allow your team to quickly clean up the damaged mons) because of the rise into the air.

ITEMS:
Full Heals are useful to stop your AoE stuns like Snorlax’s block or other disabling attacks. Eject Button can be used in place of this, but you generally won’t need to escape unless you get really overwhelmed.

Muscle Band is a must for this because the quicker basic attacks as well as the extra damage is really useful considering the boosted attacks really play a big factor in your combat. Razor Claw also applies here as well, as the extra damage and slow effect can stack with the defence drop from your boosted attack whilst also giving you increased crit chance. Focus Band rounds off the build by providing you with healing which can stack with the lifesteal and keep you in the battle for a while.

For alternative options, you could use the tried and true Buddy Barrier for the extra shields after a Unite move however I haven’t found it to be necessary, or you could run the Scope Lens for even more critical hit damage.
