Build Path
AcrobaticsFirst Pick

Brave Bird
AOE damage. Self-damage. Reset cooldown of Flame Charge or Aerial Ace. (+)Reduced self-damage.
Flame SweepUNITE
Unstoppable. Damage. Displacement.
Buddy Barrier
When using a Unite Move, shield yourself and your nearby ally with the lowest HP.
Score Shield
Receive a shield while charging up to score a goal. While shielded, incoming attacks will not stop you from charging up.
Muscle Band
Basic attacks do more damage the more HP the opponent has.
Goal-Getter
Temporarily makes you score goals faster.
Stat Boosts
Bonus Attack Damage On Hit

Guide
Talonflame with fly allows high damage and easy takes on drednaw which will put your team on the upper advantage. It also helps to take Zapdos if played properly.
REASON FOR USING MOVES:
Flame Charge + Fly: flame charge is basically a damaging eject button, used for various purposes, it also deals a large amount of dmg. Fly allows getaway and high burst damage
HOW TO PLAY:
First rule, dont play talonflame without the jungle. Lane fletchling is horrible. Early pressure on top lane is the most important part of this build and playstyle. Try to get a kill and score your 16 in the first round. After your second round of jungle, go bot lane.
ITEM CHOICES:
Buddy Barrier- your ultimate helps engage and end team fights. Due to the short recharge it can be used multiple times per game. You dont not need to save it.
Score Shield- helps you tank a hit whilst scoring, you can run away straight after
Muscle Band- This item is chosen over attack weight as your main damage dealing tool as you wont be able to get all 6 stacks early enough.
Edit: X-speed is not optimal as it improves your speed by a lot more and a lot longer than before. It provides better escape than eject button and can help travel to objectives faster
Edit #2-Eject button is now a better battle item to use as you can use it before landing fly, this makes up for the speed lost in the new update. When using brave bird, eject botton acts as a repositioner to use the next move. Or stalls until your cooldown resets
Edit #3-Take brave bird, as it can allow more diversity in ganks and more mobility than fly. Also the reduction for the cooldown in flame charge is more useful. However, you may still take damage whilst using the move, fly is a better option if you are learning how to play
Edit #4-equiping goal getter makes this pokemon a dangerous scorer, as it can zip in and out quickly. use this to finish off opponents towers
Works Well With
Snorlax can hold top lane
Lucario allows you to worry less about the Bot lane
The shield eldegross provides adds onto score shield making you almost always able to score
