Guide

Cinderace is surprisingly versatile in terms of where it can go at the start of a game. Generally Jungle Ace is most preferred since it can gain access to both of its moves before Drednaw Rotom Phase if all goes well, which is considered necessary in the current meta. Bottom Lane Ace is just as effective since it can contest the middle Audino early on or steal one from the opponent's farm, and while Top Lane isn't ideal, it can be an option if necessary.

As far as moves, Pyro Ball and Blaze Kick both have their uses, so that comes down to preference, with this build running Pyro Ball. Due to its recent buffs to both damage and cooldown, it now provides its own unique niche over Blaze Kick. Essentially it becomes a choice between consistent CC Immunity or damage. That said, despite the Flame Charge buff, Feint is still mandatory due to the brief invincibility and CC immunity it provides, with Pyro Ball + at Level 11 reducing the cooldown of Feint (or Flame Charge if that gets picked by accident) by 2 seconds if it hits, turning a 12 second cooldown into potentially 8 seconds, made even more consistent due to the cooldown buff on Pyro Ball.

Item wise, Muscle Band and Float Stone are standard, however depending on the move chosen at Level 7 a different item is used, Scope Lens for Blaze Kick and Focus Band for Pyro Ball. Alternatively it is possible to run Scope Lens and Focus Band together.

Cinderace can use a decent variety of Battle Items but the best one is easily Full Heal, which is amazing for countering the heavy amount of CC on a lot of teams. This combined with Feint means that most of the time Cinderace will always be able to answer CC in some way. Goal Getter is also a spicy option to help score in half the time, which can prove especially useful in a Zapdos Phase stalemate. Other possible choices include X Attack, Potion, and Eject Button.

Works Well With

Cramorant

In times where Cinderace has to Top Lane, Cramorant is amazing at taking farms with Whirlpool early game while quickly getting two CC moves in Hurricane and Surf.

Blastoise

Blastoise being a defensive wall with both CC and CC immunity options in its moveset as well as an incredible Unite can provide great support on many teams.

Lucario

Lucario is a strong early game carry while at the same time proving a great ally in any team fight thanks to Extreme Speed and Bone Rush chains.
