Guide

⚡ Combat Strategy: The "Delete" Sequence
Your goal is to catch an enemy out of position and lock them down so they can't react to your damage.

1. The Standard Burst (Levels 6–8)
• The Move: Volt Tackle ➔ Electro Ball
• Why: Volt Tackle is a sure-hit stun. It prevents the enemy from using Dash moves or Eject Button. While they are mid-air, fire the Electro Ball. Since Electro Ball deals more damage to enemies with low HP, the initial hit of Volt Tackle helps prep them for the "execute" damage of the ball.

2. The "Nuclear" Combo (Level 9+)
• The Move: Unite Move (Thunderstorm) ➔ Volt Tackle ➔ Electro Ball
• Why: This activates your Energy Amplifier (+21% damage). By using the Unite Move first, you call down lightning bolts. Then, you use Volt Tackle to hold them in place so every single lightning bolt from your Unite Move hits them, followed by a boosted Electro Ball to finish the job.

💡 Pro Tips for Pikachu
Play the "Edge"
Pikachu is extremely fragile. You should always be at the maximum range of your moves. Use your boosted basic attack (the one that stuns) to peel for yourself. If an enemy Speedster (like Meowscarada or Zoroark) gets too close, use Volt Tackle defensively to stun them and then Eject Button away.

Don't Save Your Unite Move
Pikachu has one of the fastest Unite Move recharge rates in the game. While other Pokémon wait for big team fights at the 2:00 mark (Rayquaza), you can often use your Unite Move freely to secure a single kill or defend a goal. As long as you have it ready for the final stretch, don't be afraid to spam it.

Electro Ball is an "Execute"
Avoid throwing Electro Ball at a full-health tank like Snorlax or Umbreon unless you have to. It scales based on missing HP. It is much more effective to wait until an enemy is at 40% health—at that point, Electro Ball acts like a heat-seeking missile that almost guarantees the KO.

🛠️ Item Management
• Slick Spoon: This is your best friend against tanks. Even if they build Magic Defense, the Spoon lets you "pierce" through it.
• Choice Specs: This has a short internal cooldown. Try to poke with a basic attack to see if they're in range, then drop the Electro Ball to ensure the Choice Specs bonus damage applies to your biggest hit.

Your Progression Checklist
• Early Game: Focus on hitting Level 4 as fast as possible. Electro Ball is a huge power spike for securing Wild Pokémon.
• Mid Game: Look for "pick-offs." Hide in tall grass, wait for a squishy attacker to walk by, and hit them with the combo.
• Late Game: Stay behind your Defenders. Your job is to wait for the enemy carry to overextend, then shut them down instantly with Volt Tackle.
Would you like me to explain which Emblems specifically you should hunt for to reach that +4% Sp. Atk threshold?

Works Well With

Umbreon

Mean Look is your best friend. It traps an enemy in a small zone, making it impossible for them to run away from your Electro Ball

Wigglytuff

Sing puts enemies to sleep. A sleeping enemy has reduced defenses, which makes your Choice Specs and Slick Spoon damage hit even harder

Comfey

By attaching to you, Comfey provides constant healing and a "grass" stun. This allows you to stay in the fight longer to get a second or third Electro Ball off
