Guide

Get started we shall

I'ma rip off the band-aid
This is decently hard to play
If you are younger than 5 or a tad bit slow
Then unfortunately just play Mewtwo

Background:
Was struggling to get to master. Needed something with punch, guard, sustain and execute.

Just reached it.

Explanation:
Reach lvl 7 asap
Ability to damage effectively
Able to actually tank hits
Aegislash is infinitely better than Doublade.

Moves:

Shadow sneak first move since.. well duh u attacking

Shadow claw over sacred since less cool down and more stun. Damage is pretty much the same. If u can't play shadow just use what ur comfortable with.

Wide guard since the bigger shield, boosted attack stacks and stun is better than mobility.

Items:
Razor claw is amazing on this, especially with the whole attacking gimmick of this mon

Weakness policy because you WILL be left to fight 1v5 and the extra damage is great

Drain crown since we need life steal.

you will need potion

Alternatives:

Attack weight (if lane)
Aeos cookie (if lane)
Energy amp (if with support)
Muscle band (irrelevant mid-late game)
Focus band (unreliable, long cool down)
Buddy barrier (not recommended but viable)
X speed (only if focus band)

Boost emblems:
6 brown
4 white
Get attack + hp flat stat
Anything else can go take a (darn)

Strategy:

JUNGLE!
If sharing/stolen or someone claims first, concede, play something else.

GET LVL 7 ASAP!
Iron defense is ok if u know how to use properly but wide guard is way better.

KEEP THE LVL ADVANTAGE!
I cannot stress enough how important this is
If you're gonna take any tip from anything, this is the tip. I've had many cases where I'm low hp and people will think im an easy kill only to get folded by wide guard shadow claw spam stab. If u don't have lvl advantage, farm and play for ULT steals. Speaking of which=

USE ULT AS BOOST/EXECUTE
it's very hard to hit, but does massive damage. Attack not moving targets (enemies caught lackin, Rayquaza/regi.)

MATCHUPS:

Positive matchups:
Squishy mons (if he 1-2 lvls higher is a maybe)
Tanky mons with no damage
Mewtwo (only if alone and he is lower lvl)

Bad matchups:
The enemy team jumping u
Stuns in atk form
Higher lvl enemy

Team up with: (personal experience)
Trevenant
Charizard
Any healing supporter
Any stun
Any1 that can tag u out of a rough matchup

ATTACK COMBOS:
Shadow claw -> boosted attack -> wide guard -> shield boosted -> shadow claw

ULT -> wide guard (only if close) -> shadow claw -> spam boosted

If low = wide guard -> shield boosted spam

General tips:
Shield boosted does the same damage as unboosted attack but has more life steal

Use shadow claw and boosted attacks (sword or shield form) to target squishies.

You can cheat death a lot with Aegis but don't get too confident. Dying can mean losing lvl advantage. (Refer to tip 3/4.)

Tldr:
Sword is good independent guy.
Kill squishies
Play safe
Keep lvl advantage

(Note: the boost emblems below are for reference.)

Good luck on your quest.
