Note: this is for solo queue. I suggest you go top lane because sylveon is good early game. leave the mid and bottom lane for teammates who are weak early game since those lanes have more exp. You could replace focus band for buddy barrier to help your teammate in a team fight, but considering sylveon's unite move takes a long time to charge, this makes buddy barrier’s ability more inconsistent than focus band’s. Both are good options though. I believe it is mandatory to have muscle band when you use mystical fire as this move has the unique property of allowing you to use basic and boosted attacks while using this move. I have choice specs to increase the damage of sylveon's moves and boosted attacks, and to have the burst damage it provides with its ability. I have chosen to go with a potion in order to survive fights, however as an alternative you could go with x speed or eject button to help disengage or chase enemies. I have chosen mystical fire over hyper voice since I prefer more consistency over more damage. I believe calm mind is always the right choice compared to draining kiss as it gives you more mobility, and survivability due to its sp.def increase, and its + effect that nullifies a move along with granting a shield. Sylveon is very effective against other sp.atk Pokémon as sylveon’s ability and calm mind grants a sp.def increase and mystical fire lowers the opponents sp.atk.
This build was created in the game version of 1.6.1.2. It may contain inaccuracies in the data that is used compared to the current version of 1.12.1.5.
