Guide

Updated: 3/24/22
Early Game: Naturally with high defenses & HP, staying alive isn’t such a forefront issue. You can tank damage for your lane partner to secure farm/KOs. Fake Out* is a great secure and disruption move. Always look to use it to push your opponents into bad positions in these early stages.

Mid/Late Game: Mr. Mime’s role is to stay close to ally PKMN particularly with low defenses and use Guard Swap* on them to provide loads of benefits. Guard Swap* swaps your base defensive stats which are additionally boosted by Focus Band* with an allies. It also gives you and the ally you’re connected to a speed boost, as well as gradual health recovery when you reach lvl. 13. Now what allows this build to function so well is that Mr. Mime will often have a higher base HP stat than the PKMN it is tethered to. Meaning the control setting majority of players use to “target lowest HP value” will actually lock onto your ally that is receiving all of your defense buffs, leaving you unharmed while vulnerable and giving extreme survivability for PKMN that normally would not have it. Wise Glasses* also provide some additional damage on Psychic* and creates what can be devastating burst damage at times. Psychic* also emerges from whoever you’re connected to with Guard Swap* decreasing the Sp. Def of opponents hit for a short time.

Works Well With

Cinderace

Allowing this PKMN to stay alive for so long and output constant auto attacks is OP.

Greninja

Let Greninja play off of you & lure foes into its path. Quick KOs.

Venusaur

Use X Speed to run around with Pedal Dance Venusaur and be the ultimate speed force.
