Guide

First ability is Flame Burst due to it proccing your burn passive, which lets you farm faster than Fire Spin.

Charmander does a decent amount of damage early while also being able to very easily kite out opponents (due to its unique ability to freely move while attacking). However, most of the time you just want to sit back and farm until level 5, which is very important. It gives you Charmeleon (who has extended range) and Flamethrower, which is a very powerful poking tool, as well as a great AoE that helps you secure the bees.

Fire Blast is a good zoning tool that discourages enemies from passing through it due to its slow and big area. Also useful as a chasing tool as the slow is brutal.

By the time Drenaw/Rotom spawns you should hit around level 8/9.

Item Replacements:
(most of the time you replace buddy barrier because scope lens + muscle band is really good on char)

Energy Amplifier
If you want to do A LOT of damage during Charizard’s Unite, use this. Buddy Barrier is insanely good, though, but if you prefer to engage with a Unite rather than save it, this is an option for you.

Razor Claw
This could be better if you prefer the other moveset (Fire Punch/Flare Blitz), as you are in melee range more often. Buddy Barrier is still good, though.

Focus Band
It’s good on everyone, but unless you’re extremely aggressive early or are not Unite move reliant you won’t need it. Use it if you want.

Weakness Policy
This item could be good on Charizard, but Scope Lens and Muscle Band synergize so well together already that adding more damage may not be that useful. Use it if you want.

Battle Item Replacements:

X Attack
Due to the attack speed and attack buff this provides, it could be really good to combo with a Unite move to fry your enemies. Solid choice.

X Speed
Harder to justify due to Charizard having access to slows and (arguably) getting more value out of Eject Button, but it has a shorter cooldown. Use it if you want.

Full Heal
Situational, but good most of the time. Solid choice.

Slow Smoke
This item is better with the other moveset as you are closer to the enemies more often, but is still usable. Solid choice.

Unite Move Tips:

Take note of enemies that can become Unstoppable or Untargetable (Wiggly Unite, Blissey shield, Full Heal, etc.), as they can cancel your Unite move if they become Unstoppable/Untargetable during your cast. (being canceled puts it at 90%)

While it is niche, being able to fly over obstacles can sometimes be useful. (as an example, scoring at the enemy base, Unite moving, then flying away over walls)

Use your abilities before your Unite move, as you can only basic attack during it.
