Guide

This build is meant to be pretty versatile whether defending in lanes or going jungle.

I like to start out with Skull Bash to stun pokemon and easily pick them off. It also really helps if going Jungle to use it through the wall towards Lillipup.

Since Squirtle isn't that great at pvp it's good to try and stay back and level up quicker. If you don't already have someone in Jungle taking that position might help.

When you level up, go for Hydro Pump rather than Water Spout since we're not taking Surf. That way you can have some sort of displacement move to push opponents away when they're trying to score or when you need to get away.

Surf is still pretty good with this build but I've been enjoying Rapid Spin more. It's a bit easier to control and can do a lot of damage with Hydro Pump. It can be great for team fights and ripping up the Combees. It's also a lot easier to cancel scores. I've often Surfed right through opponents scoring since it doesn't do enough damage to stop them.

Taking Buddy Barrier is super great when using your Unite Move. I usually use it at Zap or during big team fights. Focus Band works well to boost its tankness and Muscle Band helps a lot during early game and throughout.

It's a pretty adaptable build that can help in many situations. Just make sure to use your Unite wisely and try to level up as quick as possible!
