Guide

I'll be splitting this guide into parts for simplicity.
Thank you for taking the time to look at this guide.

(MOVE/ITEM UTILIZATION)

LEAF TORNADO:
Phenomenal as both a movement option or as burst DPS. Use it to finish off enemies, guide your teammates to lanes quickly, or retreat/help your teammates retreat. +Blind is also useful for avoiding gank scenarios.

COTTON GUARD:
This is your sustain, assuming you don't also choose Pollen Puff.
A majority of your successful encounters will be due to the sustain you provide your team as their healer. Try to get as many teammates hooked with Cotton Guard as possible. Using it in tandem with Score Shield before popping a goal is also a good idea.

COTTON CLOUD CRASH:
Your Unite move is 3 things for you. Your kill move, your movement option, and your best way to sustain a team. Most of its use will be to keep your team alive for important rotations like Drednaw, Rotom, or (especially) Zapdos.
I highly recommend holding onto your Unite move past the 3:00 minute mark for Zapdos. It can very well save you the game, either through sustain or by stealing Zapdos from the opponent.

X SPEED:
A few reasons I run X Speed over Eject Button.
First, X Speed paired with Leaf Tornado provides an enormous speed boost that can help you get places much more efficiently.
Second, Eldegoss is a target for Pokemon that can pop movement impairing effects. X Speed will ensure you're unhindered while you're escaping with Leaf tornado.

(EARLY-GAME)

Eldegoss' early game is rather slow. Getting to level 4 is essential, so it's important for you to feed appropriately.

Firstly, choose a lane. I recommend going top lane and using it as an easier source to feed through, and when Drednaw spawns it provides you the opportunity to rotate down and help sustain your team. A properly leveled Eldegoss will almost always be a problem even if your bottom lane was managing poorly.

You'll want to take Leafage first, as DPS is important for pushing lane early-on. I recommend using it on the first Aipom in lane, and then let it cooldown for the set of 2 Aipom towards the end of your lane. You want to angle it between them so it hits both of them for maximum efficiency. Afterwards, do your best to take the Audino above lane. You'll want to try to use Leafage for last hit burst.

Assuming you've evolved by now, I recommend Leaf Tornado. It will allow you some 'creative freedom' as either burst DPS or a movement option. You may go with Pollen Puff based on your team composition, which is fine too. Keep an eye on how your lane is performing and choose accordingly. Some Pokemon, such as Garchomp or Snorlax, may want the extra healing over your ability to burst DPS.

(MID-GAME)

By now Drednaw has spawned and you should have rotated to bottom lane. Your job in securing Drednaw is to keep an eye out for enemies by putting yourself between their lane and Drednaw, all while being ready to sustain your team. If you can intimidate the enemy well enough, they won't get to Drednaw or they will die trying. Hiding in grass is also a great option to facilitate this. Just make sure the enemy isn't doing the same so they can steal Drednaw.

Whether or not you secured Drednaw, you should probably make your way to the top and secure Rotom as well. Cotton Guard sustain will help tremendously for taking Rotom, since the enemy will also be making their way up top to make sure you don't get it.
Continue to feed, sustain your team, and help them in gank situations as necessary.

-
(LATE-GAME)

Late game is especially important for Eldegoss. You should have your Unite move before Zapdos spawns. If you do not, try to get it as soon as possible. Cotton Cloud Crash's utility becomes infinitely more important during the most important team fight- Zapdos.

Another tip, assuming you're confident in your abilities, is to take a Ludicolo from either jungle as insurance to steal Zapdos. If the fight isn't looking good and you've saved your Unite move, you should be able to steal Zapdos with ease. If it's clear the other team has no interest in Zapdos and/or you're in a losing position, use your Unite move to sustain your team so they can commit to the final push. The more teammates/opponents you catch in it, the better.

I'll have a video showcasing the wonders of Eldegoss out soon.

Works Well With

Garchomp

Gibble requires sustain in order to build levels and spiral early-on. Garchomp is capable of tanking team fights with relative ease and dishing out harsh amounts of damage.

Snorlax

Eldegoss' sustain and ranged damage help boost Snorlax's potential to hold the line.

Alolan Ninetales

Eldegoss' sustain and ranged paired with Ninetales' ranged damage and ability to control the field makes them a great pair.
