Guide

This build focuses on winning your lane by enabling your lane partner and getting scores off early, allowing you to rotate quickly into team fights, turning Wigglytuff into a fluffy frontline Defender/Support hybrid.

~ BATTLE ITEMS ~
Your role as a Supporter is to do exactly that: Support. Damage is nice, but your job is to stay alive as long as possible and assist with crowd control, much moreso than having a high damage output.

Focus Band provides even more to Wigglytuff's already high defensive stats, allowing you to stay in the fight longer and perform your role. Always be mindful of its 90 second cooldown, and play defensively when you know it's not available.

Buddy Barrier provides +600 HP -- integral to frontline positioning. If you manage to get to level 15, this puts Wigglytuff at 10,052 HP! It also allows your Unite Move to add even MORE shields to herself and the lowest HP teammate, which can instantly save your squishy Attacker and turn a losing fight into a winning one. By increasing your already high HP with Score Shield, the 40% HP shield from Buddy Barrier will be VERY hard for the enemy team to destroy.

Score Shield has perfect synergy with the HP% abilities of Focus Band and Buddy Barrier. It gives +450 HP, and with Buddy Barrier, that's +1050 HP, taking full advantage of your HP% based battle items. There are some fun tricks you can do thanks to the hindrance immunity shield when scoring too, like using Sing+Doubleslap before you try to score, since they persist for a moment, helping your teammate escape or score with you.

~EARLY GAME: LANING PHASE ~
Take Pound first and take last hits only until level 4. High HP and defenses allows you to have a very strong lane presence early game, so be aggressive and zone enemies for your lane partner, stealing the enemy's wild Pokémon whenever possible. Use Sing to punish overextended enemies and keep them away from last hitting wild Pokémon. Take advantage of your Score Shield and apply pressure with small scores, distracting enemies so your partner can focus on farming EXP. Try to position yourself behind enemies while using Sing, and use Doubleslap afterward to deal more damage with its debuff.

~ MID/LATE GAME: OBJECTIVES & TEAM FIGHTS ~
Zone the enemy team away from objectives along with your Defender. Don't be afraid to go back to base if you need to heal up, and use your Unite Move often and selflessly to secure objectives, making sure to shield as many allies as possible; NEVER use it to save yourself when you're alone!

When enemy goals are destroyed, do NOT keep pushing the lane. Instead, focus on helping clear the enemies' wild Pokémon in order to gain an EXP advantage.

Your job in team fights is to zone out threats while on the front line and look for opportunities to crowd control any out-of-position backliners, keeping them shut down with CC so your team can secure the kills, and the win!

Works Well With

Lucario

Probably the ideal laning partner for laning with Wigglytuff, Lucario is able to take full advantage of Sing thanks to massive burst damage. Be aggressive but play more defensively when facing a ranged enemy lane.

Machamp

Like Lucario, Machamp is great at taking advantage of the opportunities Wigglytuff can create. Position properly to bully enemies from trying to escape before securing the kill, and play patiently to catch overextended enemies for easy lane dominance.

Alolan Ninetales

Although not ideal, if a Snorlax isn't available, Ninetails is an excellent partner for Wigglytuff, making your lane a crowd control nightmare for enemies. Make sure to frontline for Ninetails so you're taking the hits and not your squishy, frosty friend.
