Guide

**Why Jungle?**
Jungling allows you to ignore the lackluster Machop phase in relative safety as the standard jungle path (Puppy -> Buff -> Buff -> Lobster -> Lobster), will get you Machoke (LvL 5) & Submission leading to really powerful early ganks. Cross Chop provides a great movement option and damage source. I think the pressure Machamp puts out, especially with his uncanny ability to stuff Eject Buttons with submission is incredibly valuable in the current meta.

~~Stats~~
Machamp has the highest base defense in the game at Lv1, and at Lv15 he's still got the third-highest (Only beaten by Crustle and Snorlax). His base Special Defense is 4th in the cast at Lv1 and 5th at Lv15. On top of this he has an above-average HP pool (Rank 9 of 21). He is bulky and can take some hits, so don't be afraid to brawl with people. Your auto attack is an incredibly strong early and mid-game, boasting the 7th highest base stat.

~~Items~~
Muscle Band helps you clear camps quicker and adds some minor damage in fights. Buddy Barrier gives you a large amount of flat HP but also provides an absurd amount of utility. I firmly believe this is the best item in the game. Scope Lens allows you to abuse the bonus crit modifier on Cross Chop and Submission. Score Shield is also a very powerful option, and will sometimes just win you games.

**Why no Fluffy Tail?**
Fluffy Tail will let you do camps faster, however, against Rotom and Drednaw it only roots them and does not affect Zapdos at all. So I find it is generally more beneficial to take Eject Button.

**Why no Float Stone?**
Float Stone takes 6 seconds of out of combat time to trigger its passive, making it incredibly unlikely to ever have active as a jungler. I know, I'm not happy about it either. Additionally, the base speed it provides makes almost no difference most characters have over 3000 speed and a 20 Float Stone gives a paltry 80. It ends up being like 3%.

**Why go straight to Lilipup?**
As a jungler, it is recommended not to touch the two Monkeys at spawn, you don't need to leech that exp, standard path gets you 5 without it, and having those laners not at a exp disadvantage only helps you in the end. If you want to be really greedy you can Eject Button over the wall to Puppy at start, it'll be up by the time you Lv5 gank and round start counterjungling is both risky and unlikely in this game.

**Dreadnaw is priority**
Start heading there early. First Dread spawns at 7 minutes, and then respawns every 2 minutes after its death. In solo queue you will often have team members who don't care to play the game, so try to hit your up D-pad and tell them to gather. Sometimes they will listen, otherwise you just have to carry it on your own. Luckily you have 4 arms and braoad shoulders!

Works Well With

Eldegoss

Her healing, shields, and buffs make you unkillable and inescapable.

Snorlax

On top of being incredibly strong in their own right, his CC and Block are invaluable

Alolan Ninetales

Her strong CC and decent damage help setup Machamp for success. However, she also has possibly the best move in the game Aurora Veil which puts your auto attacks on steroids.
