Something that's unknown by most is that ANY shield counts towards the score shield. If your mind hasn't been opened with that: Rubble Rouser comes with a MASSIVE shield. That means you can score while people are actively attacking you leading to some big scores mid and late game without the need of Zapdos.
Note: Cooldown (CD) for Score Shield is 6 seconds and that includes the unstoppable goal. If you get interrupted and put on a shield to try again you'll get stopped with any damage.
One of the biggest issues once you're playing competent games is that it's near impossible to score on the inner goals. This build makes it possible. Combine score shield with Crustle's amazing mobility and you have one of the best dunkers in the game. Run to an inner goal and dunk in absolute safety even if they try to stop you with a jump pad bonk. If you're endgame and you NEED that goal you can clutch it out with your Unite keeping your dunk so safe that after you press X you can go get yourself a snack instead of waiting for the countdown. If you use unite in a fight and you're only a screen or two away from a hoop, thanks to the Unite speed buff, you have time to run and dunk before the shield runs out. Each Aeos takes .1s to dunk so 1s for 10 and 5s for 50.
Any lane works with Crustle. If you're top lane be sure to rotate bottom for Dreadnaw. The level advantage he provides is massive. Overall he wants a partner that's a good caster as they tend to pick up the CC that Crustle lacks.
Fury Cutter: Choose this because this is his damage, you'll be level 3 by the time you get into a fight so there's no point in taking Rock Slide first. Attack double Apoms from the side to hit both.
Shell Smash: The speed from this move helps you escape, stick to your targets, and be everywhere. Use the starting unstoppable frames to avoid telegraphed CC. Keep aware of the map and try to be part of every fight, even if it's just to save a teammate.
X-Scissor: Hard CC is always the way to go in this game. Help your teammates score by keeping the enemies away with this attack. Aim toward walls for a stun.
Rubble Rouser: Use it to survive, to dunk, to win fights. The lower hp you can use this the better as autoaim forces enemies to target you doing more damage. (Lasts 10s)
Focus Band: This scales amazingly into late game as it's percentage based. Works well with your passive. (100s/90s/80s CD depending on item level)
Score Shield: Makes scoring work. Using this to get heals, unstoppable, and invulnerability during hoop dives can have a massive impact. (6s CD)
Buddy Barrier: More barrier and you can bring a buddy. Great impact in team fights. (90s CD, lasts 5s)
Eject Button: Best item for big plays in the game.
Alternate: Full Heal. Excellent against heavy CC which is every game.
Works Well With
X-Scissors likes walls and Ninetails provides. Avalanche+Blizzard into X-Scissor will demolish all but the tankiest Pokemon. Even with a Dazzle+Aura build she provides some much needed rapid CC that allows Crustle to easily get behind people for big X-Scissors.
