Guide

Still no Resonant Guard as an option for held item. Please fix this, guys.

I made this build similar to the new Team Tank Goodra build I made yesterday. I'll give a quick rundown of how it's supposed to work with Lapras's information swapped in for Goodra's, but for more details, check out the Goodra build on my profile.

Whirlpool is broken in early game teamfights, especially birds at 8:50. Use this to your advantage to snag the last hit on a wild Pokémon or as a combo with X Speed to chase down an opponent.
Be sure to stack Aeos Cookie as often as you can, but make sure you're not feeding yourself to the opponents. This is the most important thing to make sure you're NOT doing. This can put you down really fast as levels are very important in top lane. However, stacking Cookie is also very important because it boosts the power of Resonant Guard.

In my Goodra build, I opted for Buddy Barrier instead of Slick Spoon due to the higher passive max HP increase, but in this case, although it can be used in this way, Lapras's Unite Move is not typically used too much in combat. So, half the time, Buddy Barrier will be basically useless because the shield is on a timer. Because of this, I decided to cut my losses and go for Slick Spoon instead, especially since Water Pulse can still do some decent damage later in the game even though we're not stacking Sp. Attack Specs. Plus, with no Muddy Water, our survivability isn't quite as high as Goodra's anyway, so we may as well have a bit of offense.

This build works best with white boost emblems for HP. Green and black emblems can also be used.
Do not reduce HP. Movement speed is also sort of important.
