Guide

HELD ITEMS:
Buddy Barrier is still useful for Venusaur for more Bulkiness
Focus Band: This allows you to have clutch moments or stay alive in a tough Battle.
Choice Specs: Choice Specs is used for more damage with all of Venusaur's moves that I mentioned in the guide. You can switch it out for Muscle Band so you can stun more often with your Boosted Basic Attack.
Now... onto the guide!

WHEN THE GAME STARTS: (EARLY GAME)
Heading top allows you to steal opponent Aipoms with Razor Leaf and hope that there are squishy pokemon like Cinderace or Decidueye. Try to keep a good distance so you don't get K.O'ED and get the most experience to get Lv 5.

AFTER LV 5:
Getting Sludge Bomb will let you have a mini Solar Beam, Razor Leaf. Since Sludge Bomb lowers enemy Sp. Def that lets Razor Leaf do more damage. Still trying to get the most farm as possible tries stealing enemy farms if needed or just o that so you have the level lead.

AFTER LV 7:
When getting Solar Beam you can snipe enemies from afar.
With the combo Sludge Bomb --> Solar Beam, you get to lower Sp. Def from whoever gets into the AOD (Area of Denial) so Solar Beam does more damage.

STAY TOP PATH: (MID GAME)
Stay in the top path and solo Rotom so you can score some points since most of the time the opponents all go bot for the first dread so hope your team gets dread while you work on Rotom.

HOW TO USE VERDANT ANGER:
Verdant Anger was terrible if you were an OG player when the game was first released. But it got a buff making it a very good Alt.
Verdant Anger if you just press it will target the lowest HP (Attackers, Speedsters, etc). Even if their far away also, Verdant Anger is a great Secure for Objectives like Zap. But if you aim Verdant Anger you will be able to hit opponents from afar and Verdant Anger hits two times.

LATE GAME THE ZAP FIGHT: (LATE GAME)
When that 2:00 hits rush to zap if the enemy starts to flip try to wait and steal and try picking off squishes like Decidueye.
When it gets low use Verdant Anger or Solar Beam (Better to use Verdant Anger) to steal zap from the enemy. Then rush to score. Try to defend your goal zones from the opponent team.

AFTERMATH:
After the game ends check to see how much damage you did or how many K.O's and Assists you got. Try to think about what you did good and what you should work on and remember NO ONE IS PERFECT!
The Video has Muscle Band instead of Choice Specs but both builds are good with Sniper Venusaur Video from a long time ago but still works.

Works Well With

Blissey

Blisey is just good in all ways and can do good damage with Eggbomb and give a shield with Safeguard.

Greninja

Greninja can pick away opponents and allow a more straightforward job for Venusaur.
