Guide

This build focuses on maxing out the potential for Decidueye's basic attack to give it the highest damage per second (DPS) possible.

Start with Leafage to deal as much damage to wild Pokémon as possible. Use Astonish to slow opponents. Be sure to take advantage of the charged basic attack as much as possible. This is basically how you'll be playing the whole game.

(For those who don't want to read this, my rant ends when the paragraph ends.)
Once you get Razor Leaf, this will be your main source of power. And before you say, "Oh, but Spirit Shackle can actually deal damage," I've done some testing, and, without Razor Leaf, your DPS can range from 2500 to 3000. With the help of Razor Leaf, however, your DPS range increases to 3300-4200. For context, your average All-Rounder will have a base HP of about 7500 at level 15. At average DPS without Razor Leaf, your opponent is dead in about 2.7 seconds, give or take for different roles. At average DPS with Razor Leaf, your opponent's life span just shrank under 2 seconds. Don't think that's a big difference? It takes a Gengar 2.7 seconds to deal 10,000 damage, but in 2 seconds, it can barely deal 6000, which isn't quite enough to KO. If being alive isn't a big difference, I don't know what is. And that's only one example; there are many more. Like opponent's hindering moves barely getting off in time, or your team's Defender is out. There are many possibilities. My point is, use Razor Leaf.
(The calculations above do not account for abilities, defensive items, boost emblems, and in-game buffs.)

For all you visual people, here are the numbers side-by-side:
(life calculations are assuming on an opposing 7500 health)
2500-3000, opponent life 2.7 sec (no Razor Leaf)
3300-4200, opponent life 1.9 sec (with Razor Leaf)

Anyway, back to the build description.

I chose Leaf Storm over Shadow Sneak because of damage. While Shadow Sneak has much better effects, these effects are not as necessary in this build as they are in Decidueye's Sniper build. So, since the buffs aren't necessary, I opted for damage instead.
Plus, Leaf Storm at a close range pushes the target back just barely inside your basic attack range, which is perfect for Decidueye's ability, Long Reach, which lets attacks deal more damage the farther away the target is.

As I said before, Atk. Weight and Rapid-Fire Scarf can be crucial when attempting to KO opponents quickly. The difference is 5000 DPS. This isn't quite as big a difference as whether or not you're using Razor Leaf, but it's still big.

Drain Crown can be huge in this build specifically. You may be thinking, "Why are you giving an Attacker a defensive held item?" As I mentioned earlier, every second counts when your DPS is so high. So, boom, an extra couple seconds of life. Drain Crown is reflective of your basic attack damage, and this build focuses heavily on basic attacks. So, congrats, you get lots of health.

Brown and red boost emblems are best for this build.
