Maxing out Greninja's attack potential!
- Muscle Band: More auto attack damage while also increasing attack speed and combos well into Surf for the burst execute to finish enemies off.
- Float Stone: Increased Movement Speed & Attack is very helpful for Greninja since its an Attacker, while also helps kite/follow against Pokemon with low mobility; OOC movement speed helps Greninja disengage too especially if you used Smokescreen.
- Scope Lens: Crucial against tanky/sturdy Pokemon that have shields and increases burst potential on Boosted autos/Surf.
All 3 held items benefit Greninja's auto attacks, and since Greninja only has one damage dealing Special move, its best to stick with these (instead of Shell Bell, especially since you'll mostly use Surf last and get the cooldown reset, for example), but the Attack Weight item is also helpful for late game.
Surf is crucial it helps close the distance while also finishing off very low HP enemies. Can be used early to deal good burst/engage, then use autos, and with Smokescreen (use when you are either low, waiting for Surf to finish cooldown, or to reposition, or close the gap when there too far from auto attack range), finish with auto attacks/Surf.
In team fights, maintaining your distance crucial since you are an Attacker, but when you want to engage, have an ally Defender/Support use CC to help you maximize your Unite move damage, since it can be predictable where it'll land, unless the enemies are focusing on an Objective such as Rings/Boss Pokemon/etc. After using Greninja's Unite move, either finish a low enemy with Surf and focus on Attackers/Supports/anyone that are low/alone. Use smokescreen to bait out some abilities or to disengage from a losing fight, while also adding in the Eject Button.
Works Well With
CC and can tank most hits for Greninja
(Slowbro helps too)
By dealing damage from a distance and buffing/cc'ing, the cleanup that Greninja can do is great
Honestly any form of CC helps Greninja looool
